The Mandate of the Education position on the Women's Executive is to "educate the Women's Section on the Rules of Golf, tips and fun facts of the game."
I admit until June of this year I wasn't aware of the "tips" part of the position. In the past I have focussed on the Rules and posted some fun facts on the history of North Halton. So although we are into September I am going to post some tips under the "it's never too late to learn" category.

After you put your ball on the tee do you have a target? And I don't mean the middle of the fairway or the right side. It's really important to have a SPECIFIC target. I once was fortunate enough to partner in a match with Marlene Stewart Streit - Canada's finest Amateur and only Canadian member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
On one tee she asked what my target was and I replied "the red maple". She then asked me "what leaf?!" That's how a Champion thinks. Give it a try.
