HIGH EXPECTATIONS FEEDBACK
From Joanne Myler:
What a beautiful article and gesture by you. Your message does put things into perspective for sure. While it's great to have expectations to be better it's also important to realize you cannot set them so high as to make the game less enjoyable. You need to set small goals and ones that are achievable, not to mention appreciating the fact that just being out on a beautiful course with great people is what matters most.
Gloria, thank you for making me feel welcome.
I wish I could post this to the blog!
Thanks again
Joanne

From Elizabeth Hayes:
On the tee of every par three I expect to get a hole in one. Every single time.
Clearly it is unlikely to happen.
There have been many shots Good Enough to go in the hole but they didn't. One Sunday afternoon playing with John Morrison and Betty Crammond I managed to birdie all three of the par 3's on the back nine. I was so relaxed and enjoying the fresh air, sunshine, exercise and great company.
I want to play golf well but I want to enjoy playing more.
If I hit the ball well enough I will enjoy playing. I expect well enough to be a moving target.
I know I can make the shot I see in my mind. My expectations are realistic. If I miss the shot, I will think 'That's not like me' and move on.
Next shot will be back to Good Enough hopefully.
